The varsity team heads out for The Glenbrooks tournament this weekend at The Glenbrooks High Schools in Glenview (Chicago), IL. Like with The Blue Key, tournament updates will be posted here. Unfortunately, the schools don't have internet, so all posting will occur when at the hotel.

SWEEPSTAKES RESULTS

Myers Park High School Speech & Debate Team placed fourth overall at
the University of Florida Blue Key Debate Tournament. We were the
only team outside of the state of Florida to place in the top five.
This is an incredible achievement! We will see you again on November
16 for The Glenbrooks Tournament in Chicago.

Unfortunately, Kim and Diana did not continue to finals in Public
Forum, however, they did accomplish an amazing task placing 3rd out
of the entire field.

University of Florida Blue Key :: Day Two

Today began with sleep. Being that rounds aren't starting until the late afternoon, the team got the opportunity for some relaxation time at the hotel. This time was spent swimming, sleeping, eating, and more. Then it was time to head to the University...

All of the teams are at the University. We are currently awaiting the opening rounds in debate, however, the IE events have had one round. We will continue to post throughout the evening.

Today was our primary day of travel. We left Myers Park at 3:00 with the reminder that if we see smoke, flames, or sparks, we need to alert the driver immediately.

We embarked on a very long bus ride to Gainsville, stopping three times along the way. Dinner was at the Cracker Barrel near Columbia, SC, but we don't really know.

Rounds begin as early as 2PM tomorrow, so the morning will be relaxing.
